On the other side of semi-finals, James Degale of Britain knocked the Irish Darren Sutherlnad 10-3 in a game that Degale claimed to be as easy as it seemed.

He said that boxing is easy and that anyone would have been taken down today against him in such a day.

Multi MVP Kobe Bryant faces Australia: 116-85

August 20th, 2008

PI Photo/Roger L. WollenbergAustralia survived for 18 minutes, disallowing the basketball jerseys of America from flying with the game in their pockets. A good and organized defense was crowned by a strong finishing under the basket, with 20 year old Mills on the play making! Opals were magnificent on the ball movement and determined to walk along with the States in scoring. In a pre-game interview, Australians declared that they will the smiles off the Dream team’s faces, a betting that almost came true, but …. It was Kobe Bryant’s show time to start, saving the states from the stress that Uncle Sam was facing with the 2nd quarter coming to an end.

After the break, Kobe and friends were already warm to start the show, cherishing the crowds is a must, leaving no space for Australians to breath. After missing a lot of free throws and 3 pointers in 1st part of the match, luck was starting to smile to the Eagles. Kobe leading his Dream team with 25 points was performing the true displays of an MVP sending angry Aussies back home.

US out-rebounded the Opals 57 to 28 of which 9 “second chance” scored from 13 offensive boards.

Australia’s primary bet of embarrassing the States was whooshed far, and so did their plan B, which consisted on keeping the score divergence under the 30 points; a bid that they struggled to achieve: actually it’s too good to be true, and they had 2 losing bets in 1 night!!!

USA’s points’ average for winning is still over 30 points after today’s game

USA will face the winner of the game joining Argentina and Greece in semi-finals, and still has 2 more games to wear gold medals. Basketball tickets are definitely sold out with a Dream team that puts on the flame to the game. For the 1st time since Athens 2000, bidding on Basketball games hadn’t been that easy!

W. Basketball: USA’s Feminine crusade unstoppable!!!

August 19th, 2008

Korea was really determined, realizing that they can’t win, thus they played very well in the 1st quarter: 25-21 with a high percentage of 59% in field goals. However, the 2nd and 3rd quarters were very damaging to the Koreans, by being held in each of the 2 shifts to 9 points only, while US scored 26 in each to pull up the difference to 38 dots, with 1 quarter remaining.

Last part of the game was set on 27-21 with a good Korean performance to say goodbye for The Olympics.

Sylvia Fowles who was leading her team today, ended the game with a balance of 26 points and 14 rebounds (8 offensives); it was an emotional occasion for Fowles to let her team mates realize that she’s here, and she’s back on top after the knee’s injury.

USA jerseys’ victory tonight is the 31st in a row, in Olympic Games. In Beijing’s tournament, Yankees are winning with an average of 43 points.

America should meet Australia in the final…a game as much awaited for fans, as  for bet lovers to start their gamble, at the same time as this event is already all over the Sports betting sites and sports news. With both teams having one step further to reach the gold medal, the USA basketball jerseys will face Spain in the semi finals; a game mostly anticipated by coach Anne Donovan, considering this match as the best test for finals in Beijing.

Will youth beat experience in semi-finals? Jeffries Vs Egan

August 19th, 2008

Tony Jeffries faces Kenny Egan in semi finals after beating and out performing his opponent Imre Szello of hungry. Taking the lead in all 3 rounds, Tony ended the game with 10-2, leaving behind the quarter finals, and focusing on the semis.

Fighting like a destroying machine, he was too strong for the Hungarian who stood all along the 4 rounds.

Despite his 23 years of age, Tony Jeffries looks like a promising talent for the future of the game, mainly for team Britain who will be betting on his success in his next game against the Irish Kenny Egan.

Notice that Egan is the silver medalist of the European championship in 2006, and with tons of experience and power, the rewarded wouldn’t give the youth British an easy game, especially that they reached the last 2 stages before wearing gold in Beijing! A game of risk for both players and for betting fans is impatiently awaited; it will set the ticket holder of the final game!

Nigeria – Ivory Coast: will Nigeria’s dream team 4, win in Beijing?

August 17th, 2008

A wholesome African derby game, joining as one an unbelievable wonderful crowd betting on a happy ending, and hoping to be the very last team to join Brazil’s Selacao, Italy’s Squadra Azura and Argentina’s tango boys into the semi-finals, and benefit from winning at least a medal, and why not? A golden one!

As the 1st half was going to an end, not much was happening on the game’s field, until seconds from reaching the break, when Peter Odemwingie stroke a VOLET shot into the elephants’ net, giving Nigeria the lead by 1 to null.

After the break, it was a bit different. Cote d’Ivoire managing a chance or two every few minutes, yet incapable of setting the game their way. Unwilling to get the fixture sweep away, the whole team was participating in building offensive strategies, leaving a vulnerable defense behind; scoring a goal was the last and only hope, it’s either that, or going home.

In the 82nd minute, Cameroonian Chinedu earned a penalty after being brought down by the Orange defender; captain Obinna converted the shot into a 2nd goal, killing any coasters’ hope of moving on in the Olympics.

Nigeria will face Belgium in the last game before the final! Both nations are eager to step into Beijing’s ultimate game and set a winning history. Sports news affirmed the similarity between Nigeria’s Olympic winners in 94 and Nigeria’s 2008 team. Will Africans win again, and beat any expected odds? Will the dream team of Africa be a nightmare for all Belgium efforts?

Argentina’s record; Africa’s pride and Europe’s confidence

August 14th, 2008

Argentina completed the 1st round by collecting every possible point, 9 dots from 3 games. The tango boys managed to get to the quarter finals along with the Ivory Coast. Lionel Messi, whose country was so thankful for Barcelona that allowed him to play the Olympics is delighting the crowds with his skills, led the Tango boys on Wednesday to set a new Olympic record of 9 successive victories, from which 6 were achieved in Athens 2004 and 3 here in Beijing, China.

Brazil also moved up to the 8 round, with a perfect defensive lineup that kept its goal clean. The 2 South American teams blew away any Asian hope of qualifying, after knocking out China and Japan. Samba will meet the lions of Africa, the Cameroon and Argentina plays in opposition to Holland.

European bands such as Italy, Netherland and Belgium qualified with no surprises. Squadra Azura are proving the fact that the world championship wasn’t earned by chance, and willing to confirm it against Belgium in the quarter finals.

Orange Holland is still sticking to the team work and specific passing techniques, which we enjoyed in the European championship games.

Africa is absolutely proud with 3 nations qualifying to the 2nd round. Ivory Coast and Nigeria will be facing each others, with 1 to go back home, and 1 to qualify to the semi-finals.

From the other side, Cameroon facing the Brazilian Samba will have to give all they have to stop coach Dunga and friends, and qualify to the semis.

Sport betting sites and bet panels are getting crowded more and more as the competition turns so fierce among the best teams of the world. Ronaldinho wants to show what he’s really made of, while Messi doesn’t want to fail his home country! For bet fans, I recommend revising it real well before outlaying any penny on a team. They are all capable.

Personally, I would “put money on” that football tickets are sold out already for each and every one of these games, and that crowds and atmosphere in the stadiums, will be the best part of the game.
