W. Basketball: USA’s Feminine crusade unstoppable!!!

August 19th, 2008

Korea was really determined, realizing that they can’t win, thus they played very well in the 1st quarter: 25-21 with a high percentage of 59% in field goals. However, the 2nd and 3rd quarters were very damaging to the Koreans, by being held in each of the 2 shifts to 9 points only, while US scored 26 in each to pull up the difference to 38 dots, with 1 quarter remaining.

Last part of the game was set on 27-21 with a good Korean performance to say goodbye for The Olympics.

Sylvia Fowles who was leading her team today, ended the game with a balance of 26 points and 14 rebounds (8 offensives); it was an emotional occasion for Fowles to let her team mates realize that she’s here, and she’s back on top after the knee’s injury.

USA jerseys’ victory tonight is the 31st in a row, in Olympic Games. In Beijing’s tournament, Yankees are winning with an average of 43 points.

America should meet Australia in the final…a game as much awaited for fans, as  for bet lovers to start their gamble, at the same time as this event is already all over the Sports betting sites and sports news. With both teams having one step further to reach the gold medal, the USA basketball jerseys will face Spain in the semi finals; a game mostly anticipated by coach Anne Donovan, considering this match as the best test for finals in Beijing.

W. Basketball: scorching Miao registers locals in semi finals

August 19th, 2008

getty imagesCaptain Miao was unstoppable, pulling 28 points in a game high, where Belarus was beaten. The White Russia’s dream is now over, and the march is halted toward the semi-finals.

At the final whistle, it was 77-62, a game score in which China’s dominance was ruling all along the game especially after out-rebounding the ladies of Belarus.

As some sports news talked about it as a bombshell result beating all odds, some mentioned that China’s victory was a winning bet against their European opponents, taking the groups standing as a backbone for their analysis.

Dragon nation’s last medal (silver) in women’s basketball was earned back in 1992 in Barcelona after losing the final game in favor of the Soviet Union.

China will more likely mug the Aussies in semi-final, if the Kangaroo ladies over-come New Zealand. That definitely is a gamble that I’m willing to make on sport betting sites; you can’t deny the glorious performance of the Opals who are bidding on a final game against USA.

China’s fans are counting on a shocker that could pull their nation into the finals; they just need to beat a “favorite to win” in women’s basketball in Beijing

Dream Team versus Germany: 106-57 No Comment, score speaks!

August 18th, 2008

The dreams of some are the nightmares of others…

Germany begging for sympathy while US warriors break up earth under German feet! What was that? A training session? Or a serious match? 49 points of difference to mark the outstanding formation of Coach Mike and honor his well respected being among the body built American basketball jerseys!

Crowd was on feet, the stadium was red hot, and it was Show time. This was beyond imagination, knocking down all the sports betting and odds. Sports news are definitely going to headline the German humiliation of Nowitzki and friends.

With swimming new legend Michael Phelps (8 gold medals) between the crowds, Dream Team saluted the new champion in the same impressive way! They offered him a MASTERPIECE game.

Lebron James scored 18 points, while Dwight Howard made 22 added to Bryant’s 13 marks.

This kind of domination in the Beijing’s basketball tournament has been witnessed back in 1992, the date of launching the Dream Team that uncluded the NBA’s most impressive players, such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, etc.

German betting on Nowitzki was a total failure: he just completed a very stressful, yet substandard Olympics!

This Wednesday, Dream team will face Australia in quarter finals.

Men’s basketball: who saw that coming? Aussie rules against Lithuania!!!

August 18th, 2008

Who saw that coming? Not even those who bet on Australia’s victory imagined this! Lithuania have already beaten the Opals many times lately, especially during the games of Athens and Sydney… these are definitely infos to affect the sports betting, betting sites and bet panels.

Boiling Lithuania, who had won all of its preliminary matches, got a clashing slap while facing the Opals. 106-75, 360 degrees in Beijing’s basketball games expectations!

Kangaroos that have already set 3 victories in face of Iran, Russia and now Lithuania, were having a pleasant game and a score that exceeded the 100 points in a festival of scoring! A Festive that was led by Andrew Bogut’s 24 points (4 of 5 field goals) and a team average of 62% from long range. This is definitely a rate that would stimulate the awareness of USA’s defense in the next clash between the Dream Team and the Kangaroos; it’s already the quarter finals in Beijing and sports news are making the basketball look like the “VIP” of games.

1 thing that Australia can bet on is their well organized defense that made Lithuania consigns 21 turnovers!

Despite the loss, Lithuanians are still hanged on to the leadership of the group, and will be facing China that had earlier lost against Greece.

This time, loser goes home, unless Aussies are hiding the best for the rest!!

Men’s basketball: Greece wins, but is China worth the final 8?

August 18th, 2008

Yao Ming and friends fail again, but this time it was against the Greeks of Spanioulis. Greece was in lead since the early seconds of the match, setting an advantage that reached the 24 points. China upcoming from the lockers was extremely dissimilar, mainly for the dragons’ giant Yao who scored 16 points, helping his team in closing the gap with Greece’s basketball jerseys.

The deficit was around 10 points, in the peak of the Asian come back into the game’s score after the half time, but Vasilis Spanioulis’ performance of the match, with 19 points (13 in the 2nd quarter) drew a border line to China’s finishing who were late by couple of dozens points before the 3rd shift..

At the end it was 91-77! Greece will face Argentineans; the blue and white striped, will definitely be betting on their defensive strategies. Both capable of scoring for short and long range, sport news are already setting the public mood for a spectacular game: it’s a must win for all the qualifiers now; we are on the quarter finals of men basketball tournament. Either in China or abroad, this is a game that shouldn’t be missed, especially with sports betting sites working “overtime”.

Women basketball: classy China faces Belarus in quarter finals

August 18th, 2008

China faced Czech Republic in the last group’s game, a game to fix the group’s standings. Leading from the beginning till the end, China’s ladies were a bit concerned about facing their opponents, after being beaten twice in practice games.

Unusually, Europe’s team wasn’t too much into the game, with only 35% from close range and 26% from the wide arc, giving the host nation a chance to lead the sport from the very 1st minute until the final whistle: 79-63

Many Chinese ladies scored with double figures, raising their team into the final 8.

Belarus is known to be stubborn, and the game will be much anticipated. I bet it’s going to be real hot in the stadium as both teams are known to be fighters, not quitters!

Basketball tickets are almost out, that’s being the case for every Chinese game, and sports news are starring and headlining the dragon’s ladies in order to encourage them; China is trying to show the world its modern and civilized image!

Women basketball: USA strikes again!! No mercy for New Zealand

August 18th, 2008

As ferocious as the men’s team, ladies of the United States are showing no kindness against any team, giving everything they got to crash any opponent. This time, it was New Zealand’s time to get on knees.

96-60, a diversity of 36 points took the undefeated in group B and 3 times champion into the quarter finals in what’s expected to be a trouble-free game against Koreans.

Kiwis that were forced into 21 turnovers couldn’t stop the waves of offensive strength and smashing into their rim; 4 basketball jerseys from US ladies scored in double figures: Tina Thompson reached 15, Katie Smith 13, Seimone 12 and Catchings 11. Promising young Center Fowles added 8 points and 6 rebounds to support her team mates.

Anne Donovan, Yankees coach expressed her thrilled attitude towards her team, especially when it comes to the player’s concentration from the 1st seconds until the last ones, despite the score’s difference.

Looking at former results in Beijing’s Olympics, the USA looks much more trustful, and is definitely a winning bet in this game. Basketball tickets are almost sold out for the next games to come; sports news is highly contributing in sales, due to their effect on TV viewers and readers.

Australia Vs Russia:Australian ladies tired already?

August 17th, 2008

Finally, a clean confession! After a series of denials from Australia’s coach about looking ahead to the finals, team member Jackson who scored 16 points in the game, spelt it out later after winning “It was a crucial win because we want to meet Team USA in the final”.

Opals, who were trailing by 16 points during the game’s half, were clicked on in the 3rd part, out-scoring the Russians 30 to 10, and regaining the lead in a match which identification card was: experience and coolness.

Aussies, who pushed away the Russian train off the scoring banister via crucial defending, knew that despite the game’s significance, a win against Russia was an emotional click, and an internal need. The world champions once again prove domination, and are clearly betting to meet the US women in a final game here in Beijing!
