James DeGale’s Britain cherished boxing player. After beating 2004’s Olympic champion Artayev, it was clear that James is a winning bet.

Highly provoked and motivated by phone calls and messages from his home land, he insisted on beating all odds and bring back gold.

Emilio Correa’s father is gold medalist in Munich Olympics in 1972

After irritating his opponents on TV and in Sports news that boxing is easy, Correa had something to say; he said it all, bringing the best of both players in a marathon game of 16-14, a score that most of all demonstrates the will to win gold. In the end James DeGale’s voice came out loud, settling the game in his favor and earning the golden medal.

James DeGale’s gold medal is the 2nd in Britain’s history. 1st gold was gained by Audley Harrison in Sydney’s 2000.
