August 18th, 2008

APPrice was determined to start in a strong way, betting to put an instant pressure on the Lithuanian dangerous and strong boxer. The English plan paid off and gave him the lead 3-1at the end of 1st round while his strikes were clearly hurting his opponent. TV screens showed Jaksto walking lamely and limping with a crystal clear pain expressions on his face. An instant medical examination pulled Lithuania’s hope out of the game, giving David a bronze medal, a 1st reward in boxing for the British team.

W. soccer: Will USA win its 3rd gold in 4 Olympics?

August 18th, 2008

In front of 50000 spectators in Workers Stadium, USA faced China for the last ticket into the final game against the mighty samba.

An early opening goal by Ohno sparked the game…. Both teams creating chances, and showing good skills and team coherence. The 3 times gold medalist had to wait for the 41st minute of the game to find an equalizer by Angela Hucles. 3 minutes later, and under the influence of the score balancing, Japan’s defensive lineup cracked unable to stop Lori Chalupny in the area, encasing a 3rd goal for America. Unfortunately, Japs had to go to the lockers with a trail of 2 goals; tough mission to accomplish, thus, they didn’t seem down!

The 2nd half of the game was also a delight for the crowded stadium and TV viewers, who were watching a very tactical game in midfield, a fierce battle on every ball. 25 minutes of exchanging harassment between the 2 poles, Heather O’reilly scored again with a magnificent left footer that found the corner of the net, giving the States a small chance to relieve tension; it was already 3-1 and only 20 minutes to play. Japan’s offense wasn’t effective, and was being stopped by the 3 times medalist, who only had to get together and to keep the Geishas away from scoring!

They say that the best way to defend, is to attack! And so did Angela Hucles who fooled the Jap. Goal keeper and scored a 4th hit with only 10 minutes to go.

Eriko Arakawa had to save the Japanese honor, and scored in the last minute, bringing the score to 4-2 with the final whistle.

USA - Brazil, a match that all the football fans are waiting for. With betting sites from one side, and sports news in another, the game’s tickets have already been sold out, and spectators are setting their reminders to be part of the feminine display, filled with class, creativity and performance.

Dream Team versus Germany: 106-57 No Comment, score speaks!

August 18th, 2008

The dreams of some are the nightmares of others…

Germany begging for sympathy while US warriors break up earth under German feet! What was that? A training session? Or a serious match? 49 points of difference to mark the outstanding formation of Coach Mike and honor his well respected being among the body built American basketball jerseys!

Crowd was on feet, the stadium was red hot, and it was Show time. This was beyond imagination, knocking down all the sports betting and odds. Sports news are definitely going to headline the German humiliation of Nowitzki and friends.

With swimming new legend Michael Phelps (8 gold medals) between the crowds, Dream Team saluted the new champion in the same impressive way! They offered him a MASTERPIECE game.

Lebron James scored 18 points, while Dwight Howard made 22 added to Bryant’s 13 marks.

This kind of domination in the Beijing’s basketball tournament has been witnessed back in 1992, the date of launching the Dream Team that uncluded the NBA’s most impressive players, such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, etc.

German betting on Nowitzki was a total failure: he just completed a very stressful, yet substandard Olympics!

This Wednesday, Dream team will face Australia in quarter finals.

Middle weight: James DeGale effortlessness into the quarters!

August 18th, 2008

The fight was tensed; both sides’ nervousness was reigning. James DeGale from Britain and Shawn Estrada from USA were in a critical situation of necessity to win or head home!

British boxer was anticipating his opponent’s moves, and betting on his quick reflexes: a quality of smartness that gave him a significant advantage, along with his speed and technique.

James’ triumph puts him face to face with Artayev, gold medalist of Athens in a game of destiny and smugness. DeGale announced that he will punch Athens’s golden boy just like he did once, and that he’s keeping the best boxing performance for later!

Betting sites were delighted by the Brit.’s statement, for it creates an atmosphere of dispute, challenge and daring: 3 mains to stimulate internet betting and sports betting.

Team USA formed out of 9 boxers is now down to 3 after Shawn’s outnumbered defeat 11-5. Eagles are definitely disappointed when it comes to boxing sport.

W. soccer: did legendary Pele take Germans down? Respect due for Samba

August 18th, 2008

Both sides’ coaches declared ahead of this semi-final, that errors aren’t allowed, neither betting on the opponents’ lack of luck now! Talk is cheap, what really matters are the actions!

Brazil’s massacring the Germans 4-1 is an upside down in football’s planet, a humiliation for the world champions who were totally dominated….

Nevertheless, for every consequence there’s a cause! This time, it was Pele, the legendary football player! Or shall I call her Marta?

The FIFA woman best player of the year, newly surnamed as females’ Pele, and orchestra’s chief, was the architect behind all the Brazilian sketches against the Deutschland

Despite a European strong start, a close defense on Marta and a goal by Birgit Prinz in 10th minute, the samba girls were nothing but offended, and suddenly… somewhat set them ON! Green light for the yellow jerseys, who responded to the USA’s domination in the first twenty minutes, by a series of attacks where Marta’s intention was to be a magnet for the German defense and pulling them towards her, keeping a team mate free to advance… Germans fell for the trick, and Marta passed a decisive ball to Formiga who settled the score (49th minute) sending her team into a relaxing break!

What came after the half was twice as good as the 1st shift of the game. Brazil’s reputation of thrilling the crowds came true once again when Cristianne scored the 2nd for the canaries.

It was clear that Brazil was full of class and creativity. What else can u expect when you have a Marta and a Cristianne on the field? Germans could do nothing but watch the Brazilians dance and enjoy their times… a joy that was enormous with Marta’s third Goal (53rd minute) and Cristianne’s extra dot (76th minute) in a counter attack launched by Marta.

Brazil’s now so close to gold, and plays the winner of USA Vs Japan, while Germans travel to Beijing in a trial to collect bronze.

Men’s basketball: who saw that coming? Aussie rules against Lithuania!!!

August 18th, 2008

Who saw that coming? Not even those who bet on Australia’s victory imagined this! Lithuania have already beaten the Opals many times lately, especially during the games of Athens and Sydney… these are definitely infos to affect the sports betting, betting sites and bet panels.

Boiling Lithuania, who had won all of its preliminary matches, got a clashing slap while facing the Opals. 106-75, 360 degrees in Beijing’s basketball games expectations!

Kangaroos that have already set 3 victories in face of Iran, Russia and now Lithuania, were having a pleasant game and a score that exceeded the 100 points in a festival of scoring! A Festive that was led by Andrew Bogut’s 24 points (4 of 5 field goals) and a team average of 62% from long range. This is definitely a rate that would stimulate the awareness of USA’s defense in the next clash between the Dream Team and the Kangaroos; it’s already the quarter finals in Beijing and sports news are making the basketball look like the “VIP” of games.

1 thing that Australia can bet on is their well organized defense that made Lithuania consigns 21 turnovers!

Despite the loss, Lithuanians are still hanged on to the leadership of the group, and will be facing China that had earlier lost against Greece.

This time, loser goes home, unless Aussies are hiding the best for the rest!!
